  • Do you have these items in stock?

Yes. To confirm an item is available, simply add it to the shopping cart.

    - If the item appears in the cart, it means that we have it in stock.

    - If we do not have the required quantity, a message will be displayed indicating how many items are remaining in stock.

    - The shopping cart will not allow an order to be placed for an out of stock item.

  • Is this item new or used?

The item description clearly states the condition of each item. Please take the time to read product listings and examine pictures carefully before ordering. Many items are "new/surplus," which means that the item is unused, in excellent physical condition, and may or may not include the original box and product documentation (as indicated in description). New/surplus items were most often purchased as excess inventory from other companies.

  • Is your equipment tested?

Yes, whenever possible. We perform basic tests on most components and equipment. We are an electronics surplus dealer, and not a test or calibration lab, so we are usually not able to test calibration or perform other complex tests.

Example 1, Programmable power supplies: We normally perform a load test throughout the full output range of our power supplies. We are usually not able to test computer interfaces, fine accuracy of calibration, etc.

Example 2, Power semiconductors: In nearly all cases we perform basic tests of power semiconductors, including low-power switching tests of IGBTs, transistors, and SCRs. We are generally not able to perform detailed tests of more complex devices such as those incorporating integrated circuits.

If you have any questions about a particular item, please contact us.

Please also read "Important Information About Item Condition," located on our Policies and Terms of Use page.

  • Do you offer a warranty?

Because we are a surplus electronics dealer and not a manufacturer, distributor, or repair lab, we do not offer any warranty. We have a return policy that allows for the return of most items for up to 14 days provided they are undamaged. See our return policy, located on our Policies and Terms of Use page, for details. Please also read "Is your equipment tested?" (above).

  • Do you have a return policy?

Yes. Please read our full return policy, located on our Policies and Terms of Use page.

  • When will my order be shipped?

Most orders are shipped within 2 business days. Next day air orders will usually be shipped within 1 business day (often the same day if ordered before 2pm Pacific Time). If you urgently need an order to be shipped out the same day, please email or call us to confirm immediate availability; some items need to be retrieved from our separate storage warehouse which can add 1 day to shipping time.

  • Can you bill shipping costs to my UPS or Fedex account number?

Yes, please contact us by email or telephone to arrange. A packaging/handling charge may apply for some items.

  • What shipping methods are available?

We have a daily UPS and USPS pickup. Rates for these services are automatically calculated by our shopping cart. Shipping by other methods is possible and sometimes required. For example, some large and heavy items must be shipped by freight. Additionally, shipping by air freight carrier such as BAX Global is often the most economical option for shipping medium and larger sized items overseas. Please email us for rate quotes for these services.

  • I have surplus inventory to sell, will you buy it?

We are always looking to purchase new or used components that meet our criteria. Please contact us to inquire.

  • Company Background:

Tesla Systems Research Inc., founded in 1997 and incorporated in 2004, manufactures high-voltage electrical equipment used in educational demonstrations, special effects, and research. Our products are on display in museums and universities worldwide.

Over the years we have accumulated a large inventory of hard-to-find components and equipment. In 2001 we began selling our excess equipment on Ebay. In 2006 we launched TheElectroStore.com to expand our market. We are proud to have the surplus electronics segment as a growing addition to our business. Customer satisfaction is one of our guiding principles; we take great care to make our store customers happy, and as of January 2009 we have a 100% positive feedback rating of 962 on Ebay.

We thank you for your interest in our items, and welcome any questions.
